It also serves as a preservative in certain formulations like eye drops and vaccines. Additionally MOLGLUT™ functions as a crosslinking agent in the synthesis of controlled-release drug delivery systems and is widely used in biological tissue fixation and histopathology research. Glutaraldehyde is sometimes used in the treatment of warts as a topical chemical cauterizing agent.
